[WATCH] King Carnival crowns three winners

We get the lowdown from the three crowning winners of this year's edition of Carnival, as they delve into the passion and perserverance necessary to create floats that rise above the competition

Carnival draws to an end

After a long year of preparation, carnival enthusiasts got to show off their wares in both the city's capital and Hamrun, as the locality opened its streets to colourful carnival floats and revellers.

With the Arts Council and Valletta 2018 both backing the initiative, Carnival Director Jason Busuttil is confident that the celebration will continue to grow from strength to strength, and that this will be made increasingly more evident as the quality of the floats continues to grow.

The most significant development in the offing for the celebration will be construction of the Carnival Village. Slated for completion in 2018, the complex will create spaces from both float builders and musicians to practise their respective craft.
