Destiny Chuckunyere will represent Malta in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Bulgaria on November 21.

The young singer delivered an impressive rendition of the 1968 Aretha Franklin classic “Think”.

Chuckunyere was chosen among 20 hopefuls by a mix of jury and public televote during last night's show held in the Mediterranean Conference Centre. She received a maximum points from the jury, composed of three experts, and also received maximum points from the public vote.

Veronica Rotin picked up second place with her performance of ‘Mama Knows Best’ while Christina Magrin finished in third place.

Chuckunyere’s win now means that she will be Malta’s representative in the 12th Junior Eurovision Contest that will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on November 21.
