Satirical comedy group Bla Kondixin have proudly admitted to being the masterminds behind the planting of a deceivingly realistic model of a human skull in a chest in the sand at Ghajn Tuffieha.

Earlier today, Bla Kondixin posted a video on their Facebook page showing how members of their team had skulked off to Ghajn Tuffieha in the middle of the night to bury the chest, skull and all, beneath the sand.

On Saturday morning, a Bla Kondixin actor disguised as a beachgoer scouted the now packed beach with a metal detector pressed against the sand. Coming across a group of sunbathers, he asked them to move away their sunbeds and umbrellas to give him ample space to dig.

A sizable crowd, many of whom were capturing the incident on their smartphones, gathered around the actor as he dug up a treasure chest to reveal the gruesome find.

Onlookers could be heard exclaiming "Madonna!" and "ommi ma!" as two ‘forensic officers’ dashed onto the scene to scoop up the chest.
