Ira Losco to return to Malta today

Malta's Eurovision Song Contest representative Ira Losco arrives in Malta today at 5pm

Ira Losco, Malta’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest, will return to Malta today at 5:00pm.

Losco will arrive in Malta via a flight which will depart from Munich at 2:50pm and arrive at the Malta International Airport, where she is expected to be greeted by several fans.

On Saturday, Losco delivered a stunning performance of Walk on Water, but was far off from clinching the top post with little by way of high points, and a fair few blanks from many of the participating countries. Malta’s entry obtained 137 points from the jury vote, ranking fourth overall, but faltered in the televote, garnering just 16 points and falling to 12th place with a total of 153 points.

Speaking on Facebook following the Eurovision Song Contest, Losco said he was extremely proud of her team, Malta, and those who were involved n the show.

“As you have seen, the Eurovision Song Contest has become an extremely cut-throat competition. So many good singers, songs, and countries. However, I can safely say that making to the final has been amazing and I am so happy with it all,” Losco told her fans.

Ira Losco also congratulated Ukraine singer Jalala who, thanks to a massive swing in the televote, pipped Australia to win the Eurovision.
