The official music video for Amber's 'Warrior', Malta's representative for this year's Eurovision Song Contest, has been released. At the Public Braodcasting Studios, the singer performed a renewed version of the song which was hugely triumphant in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest held last November.

The song, written by Elton Zahra and Muxu, talks about the challenges of life, and how we are made to face them.

Speaking after her performance, Amber said that before she had won the Maltese contest, she was not aware how much work and time a music video entails.

“I would like to thank PBS for their constant support and work in this, and I promise that I will do my best to make Malta proud in the performance abroad,” she added.

“The freshly-released video is in line with the meaning of the song, as viewers see something which starts off as negative turning into something positive,” Culture Minister Owen Bonnici said. “We have all faced some truly difficult challenge at some point, so we all know what it’s like to have to act like a warrior."

Bonnici praised PBS for their work and commitment on the music video, and wished the performer the best of luck for her performance in the second semi-final of the contest, to be held in Vienna on 21 May

The countries that manage to navigate through the two semi-finals will compete in the final on 23 May.
