On Friday 12 June another Italian music legend graced the stage of the Republic Hall of the Mediterranean Conference Centre when Massimo Ranieri regaled his fans with a formidable concert during which he brought alive many nostalgic memories.

The concert at MCC was part of his recent Sogno e son desto tour.

“It’s good to be back in this magnificent theatre,” said Ranieri during the Concert, making reference to an Italian production by the name of “Mediterraneo” held at MCC twenty years ago and which was then presented by Ranieri himself. The Italian singer went on to express his satisfaction with the facilities at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

Massimo Ranieri started his singing career in 1964, aged thirteen, and participated for the first time in the San Remo Festival in 1968 and is still popular today as witness by his loyal fans who attended his concert at MCC.

Ranieri's concert was organized by CMC Promotions, who have been collaborating with MCC for a number of years in a series of concerts particularly by popular Italian singers such as Albano last December and Marco Masini in May.
