Entertainment.com.mt Ltd is proud to announce the Animae Gospel Choir’s third national concert, which will take place over two nights at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October. Early-bird tickets are now available by logging onto www.mcc.com.mt.

Renowned as one of Malta’s top choirs, Animae was founded by Eurovision-singer Glen Vella in 2008. The Choir is now made up of 23 singers, including past-Eurovision representatives, namely Debbie Scerri and Amber Bondin, as well as other renowned Maltese singers, including Pamela Bezzina, Leontine Spiteri and Nadine Axisa.

“It’s already been well over three years since our last national concerts,” says Christian Borg, the Producer of the Animae Gospel Choir in Concert 2015 and the Director of Entertainment.com.mt Ltd.

“The feedback from our concerts in 2012 was astounding, and we can’t wait for people to see what we’ve put together for them this time round!”

Since their concerts in 2012, the Animae Gospel Choir has performed an a capella arrangement of the Maltese National Anthem prepared especially for the 40th Anniversary Celebrations of the Republic, was chosen by HE Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, the President of Malta, to sing at Westminster Cathedral in London for MaltaDay 2014 and even travelled to Italy to perform under the direction of internationally-acclaimed artists.

“We’ve had a busy schedule, but this is something we’ve wanted to do for a while,” continues Christian. “The Choir has been rehearsing for over a year now and Pamela Bezzina, who’s the Choir’s vocal director and arranger, has come up with an incredibly varied programme for the nights that includes Gospel classics and popular fan favourites.”

On top of the 23 singers who make up the Animae Gospel Choir, the Animae Gospel Choir in Concert 2015 will also feature a hand-picked choir of up to 70 children, as well as a seven-piece live band with musical arrangements crafted by Kris Spiteri.

“We’ve also come up with our own hashtag, which people can use to comment about the concert. This will be ‘#AGC15’ – and we look forward to interacting with our audiences through it,” Christian concludes.

Early-bird tickets for the Animae Gospel Choir in Concert 2015 – including a VIP option for the first night, with a post-concert ‘Meet and Greet’ with the artists and other personalities – are now on sale at 10% off by logging onto www.mcc.com.mt, until Monday 21 September. Park and Ride from various locations around Malta to and fro the concert venue can be booked alongside the tickets for a nominal fee of €3.
