Tonight kicks off the Eurovision semi-final which will keep many Maltese on the edge of their seat for this week, starting at 9pm. The same goes for the second semi-final being held on the Thursday 12 and the final on Saturday 14.

The 20 successful countries from the semi-finals will join the Big Five and Sweden for the grand final on Saturday.

Malta’s beloved Ira Losco will be performing tonight, singing at number 18 and closing the stage for the night before voting starts.

"Tonight I'll be performing Walk on Water at the Eurovision Semi Final. Why would Malta be the perfect place to host Eurovision 2017? Have a look for yourself. Remember to vote for Walk on Water if you want to see a Eurovision island," Losco told fans on Facebook.

And, for the first time ever in the history of the Eurovision, a non-contestant global superstar - Justin Timberlake - will be performing on Saturday.

The voting system this year has been revamped like never before. The new system two sets of points from each country, one from their professional jury and the other from televoting. The awarded points will be from 1-8, 10 and 12. Points from 1-8 and 10 will be displayed on-screen while the presenters will read out the country receiving 12 points.

The votes from the juries have already been counted, now it your turn. Tonight the remaining 50% of the votes will be decided by the public televote in the participating countries. Enjoy the show!
