New local website Kiribiss launched

‘Rent anything at the push of a button’

A new Maltese rentals website, Kiribiss.com, has been launched through which people are told they can 'rent anything at the push of a button'.

The site was provides a nationwide rentals network and has been created to improve Maltese rental and rental customer's experience in finding and securing a variety of rental services and products.

The website is targeting a wide range of customers including private citizens, venues, contractors, businesses, industrial plants, real estate, car rentals and consumers, amongst others.

Customers have free browsing access to Kiribiss.com and may directly contact a chosen rental company to arrange rentals or request a quote.

Kiribiss.com includes services and products for rent from professional rental companies in areas such as construction rentals, commercial rentals, party rentals, event rentals, business rentals, consumer rentals, and maintenance rentals including tool rentals, together with creating a platform for a peer-to-peer rental market for use by private citizens.

Navigation through Kiribiss.com is simple by going through various sections available. There are 'Spotlight' (paid) listings, Latest Basic (free) listings, Most Popular rentals, an Articles section, a Deals section, the Events page, and Featured advertisements. Visitors can do a more specific search for rentals by keyword or by sub-category search box function, or via Main Category Tabs.

The idea behind Kiribiss.com is to connect potential rental customers with leading rental companies across Malta and Gozo, as well as all Maltese and Gozitans, thus allowing private individuals to earn extra money from any item that they wish to put out for rental.

It is an easy-to-use and comprehensive tool for people to find and rent the items they want quickly online. For this purpose, Kiribiss is also providing a Smartphone friendly version of the website for thumb-touch navigation.  Kiribiss.com matches people with other people or companies for any kind of rentals.

Parliamentary Secretary Edward Zammit Lewis praised the new online initiative Kiribiss.com saying the online network product is a true example of a digital solution aimed to increase networking amongst users and businesses. Such Business-to-Consumer and Consumer-to-Consumer initiatives can also contribute to support the local economy and consumer experience.

The Parliamentary Secretary remarked that about one in every three Maltese (29%) stands on the wrong side of the digital divide excluding themselves from the online activities of their respective communities and cannot benefit from initiatives such as this. The Government has already initiated measures to reduce the digital divide and has a clear and measurable plan that will reflect in more digital literacy and more ICT and Internet usage.

Kiribiss.com CEO Steven Cilia commented, "We are incredibly excited about the launch of the new website and believe it's the perfect vehicle to showcase Maltese and Gozitan rentals using the latest display technology and technical expertise in the rental market. It's a great tool not just for customers to get to know Malta's rentals market, but also to demonstrate how we can take an initial concept and go above and beyond to find the right solution. Every aspect of the website is aimed at encouraging customers to get in touch, so we can make things happen quickly for them."
