TAG Alliances - being successful in a changing world

The international Alliance of advisory, law and accounting firms, TAG Alliances, has issued its 2013 Annual Review, entitled People-Places-Purpose

2013 was an exciting year for TAG Alliances, which brought forward many an opportunity for TAG Alliances to extend its reach to members all over the globe.

In order to maintain strong links, TAG Alliances held its last biannual international conference in Munich, Germany, showcasing the experience and competence available within the membership.

TAGLaw and TIAG have also been at the centre of numerous regional meetings in key locations in Europe, North and Central America, and Asia. One of the European TIAG meetings was held in Malta hosted by Portman International.

Further enhancing its online presence TAGLaw recently launched its mobile website, available on http://m.taglaw.com from your mobile device. With regards to social media, TAG Alliances can now be found on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. Members are encouraged to join the Tag Alliances LinkedIn Groups with the aim of sharing knowledge and increasing networking opportunities.

Local financial services group, Portman International is a member of TIAG and TAG Alliances. David Marinelli, Managing Director of the Portman International Group, added, “The Portman International Group brings this extensive worldwide resource to Malta at the service of its international client base and the Maltese economy.”

TAG Alliances is made up of TIAG, The International Accounting Group; TAGLaw, The Worldwide Alliance of Independent Law Firms; and TAG-SP, A Worldwide Multidisciplinary Alliance of Independent Members.

TAG Alliances experienced substantial growth in 2013, where it added 12 TAGLaw firms and 11 TIAG firms, several of which are replacement firms that have strengthened the Alliances’ presence. Additionally, TAG-SP, the newest alliance, added three firms and a number of alumni members.

TAG Alliances members can provide advisory, law and accounting services virtually anywhere. Starting in 1998 with a few law firms in England and the United States, the TAG Alliances have grown to comprise one of the largest bodies of professional service associations in the world. 274 TAG Alliances firms are present in over 94 countries in around 500 offices and employ over 15,000 professionals.

In view of its global presence, the TAG Alliances is able to obtain feedback on trends, markets and the difficulties facing professional service providers and their clients. Feedback from the Alliances’ members shows that managing unforeseeable change and coping with the increasing pace of change have become the foremost challenges facing services providers and clients alike.
