Costa Coffee now open in Valletta

Sixth store opens in Embassy complex

Costa Coffee has opened a brand new coffee shop in the heart of Valletta this week, its sixth store on the island.

Situated on the ground floor entrance of the Embassy Shopping Complex, this opening adds to the other five stores that have been opened by The Coffee Company Malta Ltd since it embarked on its Costa Coffee adventure in Malta two years ago.

To commemorate this new store opening, Costa Coffee will be inviting Valletta residents, neighbouring businesses and passers-by to come to the store for a free Costa Coffee fix on 4 July 2014 from 7.30am to 9.30pm.

“We want to say hello to all our new neighbours so on July 4th we’re going to treat everyone with our promotional flyer in hand to coffee and muffins on us,” said Robert Buttigieg, general manager of Costa Coffee Malta.

Besides the newly-opened Valletta store, Costa Coffee operates from various locations around Malta, including three outlets at the Malta International Airport, as well as two other recently opened outlets in Balzan and at the Point in Sliema.

This summer Costa Coffee are running a scratch card campaign around their delicious iced drinks including iced coffees, fruit drinks and chocolate coolers.

With every Costa Ice beverage purchased, customers are given a scratch card that entitles them to one of 10,000 prizes, varying from Costa Coffee beach balls and beach bags to a one night’s stay at Radisson Blu Resort and Spa, Golden Sands.

Costa Coffee is a coffee shop brand founded by two Italian brothers in London in 1978. Today it forms part of Whitbread plc in the UK.

In 2008, Costa Coffee announced that every cup of coffee sold by Costa will be made up of beans sourced from Rainforest Alliance certified farms.
