Banking and financial services on prime minister’s agenda in US visit

Prime minister Joseph Muscat will be discussing banking and financial services in a number of meetings scheduled for the coming days in the United States

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat today left Malta for the USA where he will lead a delegation with decision-makers in the banking and financial services sectors, the Office of the Prime Minister said today.

The OPM said Muscat is expected to hold discussions with several companies and decision makers in the industry.

The delegation accompanying Muscat includes finance minister Edward Scicluna, the chairman of the Malta Financial Services Authority Joseph Bannister, and the deputy governor of the Central Bank, Sandro Demarco.
