Ernst&Young Malta will be holding their annual Financial Reporting Update event this year on 30 November, with EY specialists in the assurance service line delivering a range of presentations aimed at keeping stakeholders up to speed with recent developments in international financial reporting standards (IFRS), local accountancy profession regulations and recent changes to the local Companies Act.

Taking place at the Hilton, the event is an opportunity to keep our clients and stakeholders abreast of upcoming changes in international financial reporting standards and interpretations, according to EY Malta Executive Director in Assurance Christopher Balzan.

“The event will throw a spotlight on key issues arising from such standards and their implementation. We will also cover the requirements of the General Accounting Principles for Small and Medium sized entities (GAPSME) which kicked in on 1 January 2016 and highlight recent changes made to the local Companies Act as part of the transposition of the Single Accounting Directive in Maltese Law,” he said.

The event is currently being reviewed by the Accreditation Board for CPE Accreditation.

Registration starts at 8:30am, with the event coming to an end at 12:30pm. An admission fee of €50 applies.
