Businesses that have not yet engaged with the United Nations’ 2015 Global Goals for Sustainable Development, do not refrain from doing so because of reluctance or economic implications, but primarily due to lack of knowledge, a survey carried out jointly by Deloitte Malta and SOS Malta has shown.

In September 2015, world leaders committed to 17 sustainable development goals to be achieved within 15 years, with the aim of ending poverty, protecting the planet, ensuring prosperity for all.

In a joint statement, Deloitte Malta and SOS Malta said this morning that the results of the survey, carried out as part of the ‘Business with a Heart’ project, highlighted the importance of overcoming the knowledge barrier and moving businesses towards a more concrete engagement of the sustainable development agenda.

As part of the ‘Business with a Heart’ project, Deloitte Malta and SOS Malta, together with the support of the Core organised a workshop to address these barriers by using a targeted social media and information campaign.
