[WATCH] Is it too early to decorate for Christmas?

Tonight, Christmas lights decorating Republic Street, Valletta, will be switched on as the capital gets dressed up for Christmas.

Cribs and decorations have already been set up on various roundabouts, and the odd Father Christmas effigy dangling from balconies has already made an appearance on some houses.

Many, however, are not yet feeling the festive mood. While people, generally, do enjoy Christmas and resort to decorating their houses, most of those we spoke to in Valletta today thought mid-November was a bit too early to get into the festive mood.

Some said that although they were already thinking about presents and what to make for Christmas lunch, decorating would come at a later stage, at the onset of December.
