The second collective exhibition by a trio of local artists once again takes apart the human figure at the Auberge d’Italie, Valletta.
Lily Agius Gallery in Cathedral Street, Sliema will be hosting a Maltese landscapes in watercolour exhibition by Joan Zammit Cutajar from October 14 until October 28.
George Fenech, the Maltese artist mostly known for his landscape paintings, passed away this morning at Mater Dei Hospital, aged 85.
Over the course of the summer, the figure of Mattia Preti proved to be an intersection point both for local artists and their Calabrian counterparts, as in Preti 10x10 Taverna-Preti-Malta, 10 works – each by Maltese and Italian artists – are currently on display in alternate venues in Calabria and Malta.
Following last year’s success, APS Bank in collaboration with the Malta Photographic Society is organising its second photography competition. ‘Green’ is the theme chosen for this year’s event.
Following a visit to Malta in January, an international group of young artists studying at the Städelschule, Frankfurt with the British artist Simon Starling, have developed a collaborative project with the roving arts organisation Malta Contemporary Art Foundation.
