Air Malta said its flights to and from Brussels might be affected by a national strike in Belgium.
Air Malta said that Belgian unions have announced a national strike from 29 January at 10pm till 30 January at 10pm.
Air Malta said the flights to and from Brussels, on 30 January, are scheduled to operate normally but may be affected in the eventuality that the strike materialises.
The statement said that the Brussels airport has announced that transportation to and from the airport will be complicated by reduced availability of public transportation. From Sunday evening to Monday evening there will be no train traffic and bus traffic may also be severely disturbed.
Air Malta said persons who plan to use the airport are being advised to leave well in time and listen to the traffic updates.
In view of this strike notice, Air Malta is offering its passengers originally booked to fly to and from Brussels on the day the opportunity to change their date of travel against a fee of €70. Air Malta said it regrets any inconvenience to its passengers due to circumstances beyond its control.
