Big Brother is watching you…

German-hungarian Henrik Piski, who lives in Malta and who is the green party’s spokesperson on communications and IT, says that the current political situation in Malta is one of uncertainty, and Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi should call for general elections.

"One has to keep in mind that after the divorce referendum, the disaster in the public transport reform and instances where the Speaker had to cast his vote to save government, new elections would have been the logical consequence," Piski says.

He says that in the midst of an international economic crisis, a country needs a strong government in order to be able to take the right decisions. But Malta does not have that kind of government.

I ask him if he thinks the Nationalist Party will be able to hold on to office until the end of its mandate, but replies that this would not be beneficial for the country.

"I really hope they will not. I cannot imagine government passing major legislation through Parliament by just relying on the Speaker's vote. It would just cause greater harm to itself and the country, and it would clearly prove that only power matters to to those who hold it," Piski says.

I agree 100% with Mr.Piski's political evaluation of the present government. All the want is to stay in power as along as possible to continue to serve the 'clique'. Now I hope that through internet all European countries would understand more clearly what's going on in Malta, and that the Prime minister doesn't want to call early general elections not because of the economic situation all over Europe, but for his inner circle's only interests, and for his GonziPN tremendous system!Spread the word, mate!
