Pullicino employed adviser on €6,000 monthly wage

Rural Affairs Minister George Pullicino appoints architect Arthur Appap as his “full-time direct advisor”, Sunday newspaper Illum reveals.

62-year-old architect Arthur Apap has been awarded a contract to work as an adviser with Minister George Pullicino for the sum of €6,000 per month, Sunday newspaper Illum reports.

The sum is payable at the end of each calendar month.

Illum also added that Apap shall be entitled to a car cash allowance of €290 per month and mobile facilities.

The newspaper also published a copy of the contract, signed a few days ago, which shows that the adviser started his job a week and a half ago.

According to the contract, Apap was "engaged on a person of trust basis". The contract only says that Apap will be "the adviser for services to be rendered to the Minister for Resources and Rural Affairs and any other duties which may be assigned to him by the said Minister".

I cannot wait for any minister to come and knock on my door begging me for my vote. Hope at least are deducting part of his pension like what have been doing to the british exserviceman!!!!!!!!

Surely this cannot stand? But how can it happen in the first place? Is there not accountability? No detailed disclosure of expenditure? Wake up Mikey Mouse - not even you should have to take this.

Pullicino kien qal li l-Maghtab kellu iwarrad imma milli jidher li Pullicino qieghed iwarrad ghalih nnifsu b'zieda ta' 600 euro u ghal lil cetru nies tal-qalba. Waqt li l-haddiem Malti jipprova jlahhaq mall-hajja specjalment mal-kontijiet gholjien tad-dawl u ilma haddiehor jiffanga bil-barka ta xi ministru. Flimkien kollox possibli George.

And then we are made to suffer for all this .Last we heard was that the local councils were going to be deducted money to make way for the 40 million that EU told Malta to trim .Can`t believe all this .It`s impossible to even imagine it let alone do these sort of BRILLIANT IDEAS
