Transport Malta said that two of its workers employed within its Roads and Infrastructure Directorate have been released from police custody. Their suspension has been lifted.

This is the first time that the transport authority revealed the workers had been arrested. In a short press statement issued yesterday, the authority only said that it had suspended three workers due to ongoing police investigation.

It is understood that the third worker is still under police custody.
