Pembroke trees go missing

The council condemned the act and pledged to replace the missing trees as soon as possible. 

A number of saplings have gone missing from public spaces in Pembroke, only two months after they were planted.

The Pembroke local council expressed its disappointment at the act of vandalism, which saw half a dozen of the young trees disappear overnight.

“The local council tries, with its limited budget, to embellish the locality,” mayor Dean Hili said. “This act of vandalism discourage others from helping their community.”
