Spinola Bay fit for bathing, dog-friendly beach in Bahar ic-Caghaq still off limits

The area in the vicinity of a hotel situated in Spinola Bay, St Julian’s is once again fit for bathing, the Environmental Health Directorate said.

The health warning was lifted after the necessary steps to repair the damage in the drainage system were taken. The area was cleared after repeated sampling of seawater was carried out on a daily basis during the last days.

In the following hours, staff from the Directorate will be removing the signs affixed in the past days at this site.

The Directorate however said that bathing in the area of the Dog Friendly Beach in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq is still not recommended.

The public is being encouraged to abate by these instructions.
