ADHD Malta, a voluntary organisation aimed at bettering the lot of the local ADHD community, will be holding an instructional course for persons who want to get qualified to offer self-employed ADHD adult coach activities or apply the coaching styles in their current workplace.

The organisation says that adults affected by ADHD are currently not served by any specific tailored services in Malta and still experience a lack of awareness and stigmatisation in their everyday environment. In a statement, ADHD Malta says it hopes to work towards the inclusion of those affected by ADHD and feels the training course will benefit Maltese society in general.

The 30-hour long course consists of lectures and workshops with course trainer Ms. Marie Enbäc and is intended to qualify attendees to offer ADHD adult coaching activities or apply various coaching styles in the workplace. ADHD coaching is regularly used abroad by sports coaches, nurses, social workers, human resource staff, counsillers, mental health carers and professionals working in the field of special needs. An assignment, consisting of work in the community, will also feature.

The course, which runs from Monday 7th to Friday 18th November 2016, will offer alternative morning and evening classes.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to contact [email protected] for more information.
