Eight hospitalised in cabin cruiser crash

Eight French nationals suffer slight injuries after cabin cruiser crashes with a reef in St Julian's.

Eight French nationals were slightly injured yesterday evening when the cabin cruiser they were on crashed with a reef in St Julian’s.

Police said the incident occurred yesterday evening at around 9:30pm in St Julian’s when the cabin cruiser ran aground on a reef near Portomaso.

A boat nearby gave the passengers on board initial medical assistance.

An AFM vessel then transported the passengers to the shore in Spinola where two awaiting ambulances conveyed them to Mater Dei Hospital.

The passengers were certified to be suffering from slight injuries.
