Man carrying out maintenance works on lift injured

A man was hospitalised for injuries suffered after a lift he gave way in an establishment in Triq Guze Maria Camilleri, Hamrun.

The incident happened at around 5pm when the man was carrying out maintenance works. Traffic police closed the road as medical personnel and members of the Civil Protection Department rescued the man trapped inside the lift.

An ambulance took the work to Mater Dei Hospital.

Officers from the Hamrun police station are sill investigating.
