Valletta man accused of defiling boy on public bus denied bail

A 61-year-old man was remanded in custody today after a court was told how he defiled a 17-year-old boy

A 61-yearl-old man was remanded in custody, accused of defiling a teenager on a public bus. Magistrate Carol Peralta heard how Carmel Grech would harass the boy at his workplace, on one occasion following the minor as he caught the bus, fondling him inappropriately.

Grech was charged with the defilement of the minor, attempted violent indecent assault, harassing him and committing an offence against public morals.

The magistrate denied him bail. Inspector Daryl Borg prosecuted. Lawyer Anthony Cutajar was legal aid.
