A police search is underway for a man who reportedly stole cash from a pharmacy in Marsa this evening.

The incident, which appears to be an opportunistic theft as opposed to a hold-up, took place at around 1720hrs at Vivian Pharmacy in Marsa.

This newsroom is informed that the man, who was unarmed and unmasked at the time, brazenly walked around the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the till.

The pharmacist on duty at the time was reportedly too shocked to react.
