Swieqi resident in critical condition after being struck by a car

A 69-year-old Swieqi resident is in critical condition after being struck by a car yesterday evening. 

The incident happened at about 19:00, in Triq is-Slielem in Swieqi. The woman was struck by a BMW driven by a 27-year-old man from Naxxar.

The woman was conveyed to Mater Dei where she was certified as suffering from life-threatening injuries.
