Nine-year-old girl grievously injured in traffic accident

A nine-year-old girl, residing in Zabbar has been grievously injured after she was hit by a Renault Captur, driven by a 38-year-old man, residing in Mellieha.

The accident occurred in Xatt ir-Risq, Birgu, at about 6pm. The girl was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by an ambulance.

Cospicua District Police and Traffic branch were on site and investigations are ongoing.
