Girl suffers light injuries

A 15-year-old French girl was injured after falling a height of about six storeys down a shaft in a hotel in Triq Andrew Cunningham, Qawra.

She was fortunately caught in a network of pipes on the fifth floor, where she was eventually rescued from.

The incident happened today Monday at about 9:10pm.

Civil protection personnel and a medical team were called on site to rescue the girl since the place she fell into could not be easily accessed. She was subsequently medically treated on site and immediately certified to have sustained slight injuries.

Qawra Police were also on site to investigate.
