Update 2 | Boy hit by car in Pembroke succumbs to injuries

A 10-year-old Libyan boy who was hit by a car next to the Luxol Grounds in Pembroke unfortunately succumbed to the injuries sustained.

The incident happened at around 4pm on Saturday afternoon when the boy was hit by a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old Turkish national. He was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital for medical treatment but he passed away.

The police said investigations are ongoing while a magisterial inquiry is also underway.
