Woman hospitalized after Msida accident

A 43 year-old Italian woman from Attard was injured in a traffic accident in Msida earlier today.

The accident took place at 17:30 in Triq Monsinjur Carmelo Zammit in Msida.

According to preliminary investigations, two vehicles, a Fiat Punto and a Renault Megane crashed into each other. The former car was being driven by the 43-year-old woman who resides in Attard, whereas the 35-year-old woman from Naxxar was driving the Renault Megane.

According to the police, the Fiat subsequently crashed into two other parked vehicles.

Members of the civil protection department assisted the 43 year-old woman out of her vehicle, and she was taken to Mater Dei where she is being treated for light injuries.

The other driver didn’t suffer any injuries.

Police investigations are underway.
