39-year-old man hospitalised after being injured in day’s third serious traffic accident

A 39-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in the day’s third serious traffic accident.

Police said the motorcyclist was injured after he lost control of his Kawasaki Ninja while driving along the Coast Road in Bahar ic-Caghaq at around 9am.

An ambulance conveyed the man to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified to have suffered grievous injuries.

He is not a critical condition.

This is the third serious incident to occur in less than eight hours. Earlier, two youths, one of whom is in a critical condition, were involved in a traffic accident after their car crashed into a tree in December 13 Road, Marsa.

Less than two hours later, at about 2:50am, a 37-year-old man suffered grievous injuries after crashing into a roundabout in Mdina.
