23 persons arrested in several drug busts

23 teenagers and adults have been arrested by the police over the past days in connection with drug possession and drug trafficking.

The individuals, men and women, were arrested in various localities across Malta. The ages vary between 17 and 45 and hold different nationalities.

They are being investigated on charges of simple possession, aggravated possession, trafficking of illegal substances including ecstasy, cocaine and cannabis.

Two are being held under arrest over trafficking accusations.

Investigations by the police underway.
