Austrian man grievously injured in jet-ski accident off Qawra

A 55-year-old Austrian man sustained gievous injuries after being involved in a collision between two jet-skis off the coast of Qawra.

The police were informed of the incident at arounf 3.15 pm, and the man was given first aid by members of the Red Cross. The Red Cross also helped transport the man onto the shore, where he was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for further medical attention.

His injuries were certified as grievous, but his condition is not critical.

The other jetski was being driven by a 38-year-old German man, who was not injured in the accident.

Police investigations are underway.
