Motorcyclist passes away in hospital following his involvement in a three-way crash with two other cars in Triq is-Salina

A 49-year-old motorcyclist who was hospitalised after he was injured in a three-way crash with two cars in Salina, has died.

A police spokesperson told MaltaToday that the motorcyclist had initially crashed head-on with one of the cars, after which the second car was hit.

The identities of the three drivers involved are as yet unknown.

The incident occurred at Triq is-Salina around 7pm close to Telgha t’Alla u Ommu Hill. The road is currently closed off to traffic.

The police were later informed that the man had died in hospital due to his injuries. 

This was the second accident involving a motorcyclist in the past three days, after a motorcyclist was injured in a traffic accident in Kalkara on Saturday.
