Worker trapped under glass sheets suffers grievous injuries

A Nigerian worker was seriously injured while he was unloading glass sheets.

The accident happened at around 6pm in Triq il-Kummerc, Qormi, when the glass sheets fell on the worker.

The man, 48, suffered grievous injuries and was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital for medical treatment.

Investigations by the police are underway; the Occupational Health and Safety Authority has also been informed.
