Three boys injured by burning charcoal in Birzebbuga accident

Three boys aged five, 10 and 12 were hospitalised with grievous injuries after they were hit by burning charcoal from a barbeque on Friday night.

The freak accident took place at Triq il-Bajja s-Sabiha, Birzebbuga at around 7pm. The police said in a statement that a 39-year-old Italian man was using a barbeque on his balcony, when pieces of charcoal fell down onto the street below, hitting the three young boys.
