Police investigate Gzira rape claim

An enquiry was opened to investigate the case of a 45-year-old Irish woman who claimed to have been raped in the early hours of this morning.

At around 1:15am, police were informed their assistance was required in Rue D’Argens, Gzira.

Arriving on the scene, police found the 45-year-old Irish woman who claimed to have been raped in an apartment shortly before by a man whose identity is still unknown.

Duty magistrate Doreen Clarke ordered an enquiry into the case.

Police investigations are still underway.
