Elderly man grievously injured in car accident

The accident took place at 10:30am when a 31-year-old Zurrieq resident was reversing his Citroen Berlingo

A 73-year-old man suffered grievous injuries after being hit by a car in Triq tal-Hawli, Vittoriosa.

The accident took place at 10:30am when a 31-year-old Zurrieq resident was reversing his Citroen Berlingo, and hit the elderly man.

The victim was conveyed to hospital by ambulance for treatment. Police sources confirmed that he was suffering grievous injuries but was not in danger of dying.

Police investigations are still under way.
