A worker has been hospitalised after sustaining grievous injuries when he fell off a ladder in Valletta

The worker was injured after falling two storeys off a ladder

A 68-year-old worker was grievously injured in a two-storey fall from a ladder, and was taken to Mater Dei hospital for treatment.

Police sources told MaltaToday that they were informed of the incident at 8:45am, when the man fell off a ladder while carrying out work on a block of apartments in Santa Lucija Street, Valletta, landing on the staircase.

The Civil Protection Department and a medical team were called to assist the man, who was conveyed to hospital by ambulance.
