Motorcyclist grievously injured in Qormi traffic accident

An Italian motorcyclist, 49, was grievously injured this morning after he was hit by a car on Luqa Road, Qormi.

Being informed of the case at 10:35am, police went on the scene, where preliminary investigations showed that the motorcyclist, a resident of St Paul’s Bay, was driving his Piaggio when he was hit by a car of the make Citroen. The car was being driven by 47-year-old man, resident of Naxxar.

The motorcyclist was conveyed to Mater Dei hospital for medical assistance.

Police investigations are underway.
