Fgura resident injured while operating rubbish collection truck

A 29-year old man has been certified as having grievous injuries following a work-related accident in a factory in Birkirkara.

At roughly 12:20 in the afternoon, police were informed that an accident had occurred in a factory in Triq Notabile, Birkirkara. Qormi district police went to the scene of the accident where it resulted that the man, a Fgura resident, had been injured while operating a ‘Dennis’ rubbish collection truck.

Police investigations are still ongoing.

The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by Ambulance.
