Motorcyclist suffers grievous injuries in traffic accident

A 48-year-old motorcyclist was grievously injured in a traffic accident in Msida this morning.

The incident took place at 9:15am in Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli when the motorcycle, a Triumph Tiger XRX, driven by the Swieqi resident, and a Toyota Hilux van, driven by a 52-year-old from Qormi, collided.

The man was conveyed to hospital by an ambulance where he was later certified to be suffering from grievous injuries. 

The police investigations are still ongoing.
