Cash stolen, employee assaulted during gaming outlet hold-up

Two robbers made off with an unspecified amount of cash after robbing a gaming outlet in Triq il-Kbira, Haz-Zabbar.

The police said in a statement that the incident occured at 9:40pm on Friday night. The two men, both hooded, had entered the gaming outlet, assaulted its employee and made off with cash.

The employee, a 24-year-old male from Hal-Tarxien, was rushed off to the Paola Health Centre for treatment.

A magisterial inquiry has been opened into the hold-up.
