Armed robber makes off with cash from Qormi store
Nobody was injured in an armed hold-up yesterday, while the thief managed to run off with the money

After acquiring the money, the thief left the premises
A thief armed with a sharp weapon held up a Qormi shop yesterday, getting away with a sum of cash.
According to police, the thief was wearing a mask and a hoodie. He reportedly entered the store, located on Triq San Edwardu, on the corner of Triq Guże' Muscat Azzopardi, at around 4:50pm and ordered an employee to hand him the money.
After acquiring the money, the thief left the premises. No injuries being reported.
Duty magistrate Joe Mifsud ordered an inquiry into the case.
