Gas leak causes fire in Bugibba penthouse

A gas leak caused a small fire in a Bugibba penthouse this morning.

Police were called to Pioneer Road to assist with the situation at 8:00am.

Police sources confirmed with MaltaToday that the fire was confined to one room and did not spread to other parts of the building.

The police added that, while one woman was taken to hospital for medical check-ups, no injuries were reported.
