Woman, 39, and boy, 4, injured in Qrendi accident

A 39-year-old woman was grieviously injured after she lost control of the vehicle she was driving and crashed into a parked truck.

A four-year-old, who was in the same car, was slightly injured.

Police were called to the site of the accident in Siggiewi Road in Qrendi, where they discovered that the woman had lost control of her Mazda Demio and crashed into a Seddon Atkinson that was parked on the side of the road.

An ambulance was called to ferry the woman, a resident of Qrendi, and the boy to Mater Dei Hospital, where the woman was found to have suffered grievous injuries.

The boy was found to have been slightly injured in the same accident.
