A 26-year-old motorcyclist has been hospitalised after being grievously injured in a collision with a car, in Triq il-Marfa, Mellieha.

According to the police’s Community and Media Relations Unit, the collision took place at about 8:10am, when the Gharghur resident was driving is Honda. The accident involved a car – a Poeugeot 208 – that was being driven by a 27-year-old who lives in San Gwann. The driver of the car was unharmed.

The police said that the motorcyclist was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, later confirming that he was suffering from grievous injuries.
