Police in Gozo arrest 30 people following drug finds during carnival celebrations on island

A total of 30 people were arrested after they were found to be in possession of drugs during carnival celebrations on Friday night in Gozo, the police said in a statement.

Police said 27 Gozitans were arrested after being caught in possession of cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy, while three Maltese were caught with cannabis, ecstasy, and several sachets of cocaine ready to be sold.

Police investigations are ongoing.
